A chashaku is the traditional Japanese spoon for serving matcha, handcrafted from a single piece of bamboo and designed with an elegant curve that facilitates the transfer of the powder from the jar to the bowl. It measures between 18 and 21 cm, with a tip width of approximately 1 cm, ideal for obtaining just the right amount without overdoing it.

Each standard scoop is approximately 1/3 of a teaspoon (≈ 0.5–1 g), meaning that 2–3 scoops are enough to prepare a delicious usucha-style matcha. The use of the chashaku makes the ritual precise and meaningful, evoking the ancient heritage of Japanese tea.
