Rosemary Eliadet essential oil comes from Rosmarinus officinalis L., a small, tough-leaved shrub common in the lower mountains of the Mediterranean region of North Africa. Its leaves are linear, leathery, and tough, with parallel margins that are rolled undersides, and its flowers are usually bluish, although they can sometimes be white. Cineole chemotype rosemary produces an essential oil with properties similar to those of Eucalyptus radiata and camphor.
Properties:
Rosemary essential oil is useful for both digestive health and external applications. Taken orally, it helps relieve intestinal spasms and other gastrointestinal issues. When applied topically, diluted in alcohol, it can be helpful as an adjunct treatment for rheumatic diseases, neuralgia, and circulatory disorders. Its main chemotype combines camphor and 1,8-cineole, which are responsible for its tonic and stimulating properties.
